The Mulgrave Community Research Project was managed by Jet Coast Development Trust, and funded by LEADER and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Activities such as Local History Exhibitions, Field Surveys using a magnetometer and resistance meter, Metal Detecting and Village Heritage Walks were organised in Hinderwell, Staithes, Lythe, Ugthorpe, Roxby, Mickleby and Aislaby.
Group visits were made to Roxby Mill, Goldsborough Signal Station, the Old Whitby, Redcar & Middlesbrough Union Railway Line and the N.Y. County Records Office.
Over 1500 people attended activities.
